    A 60-Year-Old Woman's Story

A 60-year-old woman came to me because she had vertigo.

    Her Symptoms During an Attack

She explained that when an attack started, her head felt almost thick, and it was very hard to think. She felt dizzy and "whoozy," and her stomach felt unsettled. She said, "I felt I wanted to be quiet, to escape."

She would lose her balance and couldn't walk properly. As it got worse, she became nauseated and might vomit. She also tended to get a mild headache. When this happened, she would lie down in a quiet room with no noise.

    Her Personality and Life Situation

She described herself as someone with a strong sense of responsibility who takes care of others. She said she suffered from abuse and neglect as a child and through most of her life. She was very stressed.

She is a business lady and is not married, so she said she can't be missing work. She said she is very compulsive about work. She also said, "I am all alone and nobody to care for me," and described feeling a lack of protection and security.

    Her Fears and Interests

She has a fear of heights and is claustrophobic. She is afraid of spiders. She likes dancing.

    Treatment

After analyzing her case, I gave her the homeopathic remedy Calcarea Carbonica 200C.

    Results

With only one dose of that remedy, all symptoms of vertigo disappeared completely.
